Comments: NASCAR Picks for Pocono

It has been less than two months since the Cup Series visited Pocono Raceway, but the return trip is already on tap this weekend. The good news for teams is that they should already have a jump start on a setup because of the recent visit to the track, as well as last weekend's race at Indianapolis. While Indy has four corners compared to just three at Pocono, both tracks have flat surfaces and are 2.5 miles in length. At the very least, the drivers that ran well last weekend at the Brickyard have to feel confident heading to Pocono.

Fantasy owners should take a similar approach and factor in both past results at Pocono and last weekend's results at Indianapolis. Just last season, Paul Menard and Jeff Gordon finished first and second at Indy, and both drivers finished in the top 10 the next weekend at Pocono. The bottom line is that fantasy owners have a great base of information to pull from heading into this weekend's race. They need to take advantage of it and pile up plenty of points.
