Comments: Daily Fantasy Golf Picks – Waste Management Phoenix Open - DraftKings

This article is designed to help you win at the Weekly Golf game at DraftKings.

By now you've heard all the craze about DraftKings right? Daily Fantasy Sports is exploding and we had a blast with Football this year here at Toolbox, but did you know that you can now enjoy rooting for your favorite golfers like never before? The gatherings at the water cooler has never been more fun! It's time for me (and you) to take the plunge into Daily Fantasy Golf! Let's do it together this year.

The concept is simple. Each golfer is assigned a Salary and you have to pick a 6 man squad under a salary cap.

The slick website does all the math for you so if you pick a team that is over the cap, it will alert you so you can remove the player and add in a cheaper option.

Let's get right to it, my value plays, avoid list and my final roster is below.

Best Values

Ryan Palmer $8,500

Quiet in the fall but T8 (Sony Open) and solo second (Humana Challenge) in his last two starts. Finished solo fifth in last year's Waste Management Phoenix Open, leader after first round in 2012.

Ryan Moore $8,400

Winner in the fall (CIMB Classic). First start since solo 10th at Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Career-best solo fourth at TPC Scottsdale last year. T14 in '10, T6 in '09.

Best Steals

Kevin Na $6,900

One top-10 this year (Sony Open), four top-fives in eight career starts at TPC Scottsdale.

Ben Crane $6,900

One top-10 this year (Humana Challenge). Last three years at TPC Scottsdale: T11, runner-up, T18.

Phil Mickelson $10,000

Defending WM PHX champ dealing with lower back issues; no guarantee he lasts all four rounds.

Charley Hoffman $9,100

Sixth-most expensive player this week after two straight top-10s this season. However, he's missed four cuts in seven trips to TPC Scottsdale, only one finish better than 29th.

My Team ($50,000 budget)

  • Webb Simpson $9,600
  • Bill Haas $9,500
  • Chris Kirk $8,600
  • Ryan Palmer $8,500
  • Ben Crane $6,900
  • Kevin Na $6,900

Remaining salary: $0.00
