Charl Schwartzel - World Ranking: #19
Schwartzel hasn’t played since a solo 14th in the U.S. Open. He’s now finished inside the top 15 in three of his last four events with one missed cut. Schwartzel is good for third in scoring average and sixth in birdie average.
Dustin Johnson - World Ranking: #1
Johnson most recently competed in the BMW International Open and finished T18. At the Open Championship he’s finished inside the top 15 each of the last three years. DJ finished solo 55th at the U.S. Open and T13 in the Masters.
Henrik Stenson - World Ranking: #7
Following a T21 in the U.S. Open, Stenson finished T10 in the BMW International Open and T3 in last week’s Scottish Open. Stenson ranks third in greens in regulation percentage, fourth in total driving and 18th in scoring average. Stenson finished 13th or better in each British Open from 2008-10 with a pair of podium finishes.
Matt Kuchar - World Ranking: #15
Since finishing second at Colonial and winning the Memorial, Kuchar has placed T25 in the U.S. Open and T49 in the French Open. In the British he’s missed the cut four times since 2007, but finished a career-best T9 last year. Kuchar is currently sixth in scoring average and 12th in strokes gained – putting.
Louis Oosthuizen - World Ranking: #23
Since winning the 2010 Open Championship, Oosthuizen has finished T54 and T19 the last two years. Following two injuries and the birth of his third child, he returned to action with a T17 at the Greenbrier Classic. However, Oosthuizen missed the cut in last week’s John Deere Classic.
Ian Poulter - World Ranking: #84
Poulter has made the cut in four straight worldwide events and is coming off a T25 in the French Open. Last year’s T9 was his best performance in the British since a solo second in 2008. Back in 2002 Poulter finished T50 at Muirfield.
Padraig Harrington - World Ranking: #163
Harrington won the Open Championship back to back in 2007 and 2008. In 2002 he placed T5 at Muirfield, but has struggled in more recent years. Harrington has made five straight cuts while playing on Tour, but has missed cuts at both the Irish Open and Scottish Open.
Rickie Fowler - World Ranking: #9
Fowler has played the Open Championship each of the last three years and has yet to finish worse than 31st. He’s riding a streak of five consecutive cuts made, highlighted by a T10 in the U.S. Open.
Jordan Spieth - World Ranking: #6
Spieth landed the final spot for the Open Championship by capturing his first career victory in last week's John Deere Classic. He's made 12 of his 16 cuts this season with half a dozen top-10 finishes.
Bill Haas - World Ranking: #39
Over his last four starts Haas owns three finishes inside the top 10 with a victory at Congressional. His only blemish during that span was a missed cut in the U.S. Open. Haas is currently 10th in All-Around Ranking and finished T19 in last year's British.
Mahan recently finished a season-high T4 in the U.S. Open, but is coming off a missed cut at Congressional. He finished T19 in last year’s British after missing three of the previous four cuts. Mahan ranks seventh in total driving.
Martin Kaymer - World Ranking: #56
After a disappointing T59 in the U.S. Open, Kaymer has placed a season-high T4 in the BMW International Open and T13 in the French Open. Prior to missing last year's cut, Kaymer had finished T7 and T12 in the British.
