Golf Rankings for Northern Trust Open
Matt Kuchar - World Ranking: #15
Kuchar has made six straight cuts at Riviera, finishing T24 last year. In all, he's only totaled one top-15 at the site. Kuchar is making his first start in three weeks after finishes of T9, T5 and T16 to start the season.
Jim Furyk - World Ranking: #79
Since 2006, Furyk has four top-20 finishes in seven starts at Riviera with a T11 last year. If not for a poor opening round at Pebble Beach, Furyk would have finished much higher than a T30.
Chris Kirk - World Ranking: #111
Kirk has missed the cut in each of his two career starts at Riviera, but is playing well enough right now to consider. He owns a pair of top-fives this season, most recently finishing as the runner-up at Pebble.
In addition to solid performances at Riviera, Stadler has finished T11 and T3 in his last two starts of the season. Stadler finished a career-best T10 in this event in 2010, before T12 and T24 results the last two years.
Charl Schwartzel - World Ranking: #19
Schwartzel is competing for the first time at Riviera and for the first time on Tour in 2013. In last week’s Joburg Open, Schwartzel put together a runner-up performance in his native South Africa.
Lee Westwood - World Ranking: #57
In his first two starts of 2013, Westwood has finished T5 in the Dubai Desert Classic and T46 in last week's event at Pebble Beach. Westwood hasn't competed at Riviera since missing the cut in 2008, before that he finished T5 two years prior.
Charles Howell III - World Ranking: #70
Howell started the season off with finishes of T3, T2 and T9, prior to cooling down to a T36 at Scottsdale. He won this event back in 2007, but has finished no better than a T55 since and has missed two of the last three cuts.
Last year, Molder managed a career-best T17 in his fourth career start at Riviera. He's made all four of his cuts this season and owns three finishes inside the top 25. Molder's T12 last week at Pebble marks his best performance of the year.
Goosen is coming off a T9 at Pebble and is now looking at playing more frequently than planned this season, as long as he remains healthy. He finished T34 Riviera during a down season last year, but scored a T12 back in 2011.
Van Pelt might own two consecutive top-20s this season if not for a disastrous final round at Torrey Pines. BVP has a pair of top-15 finishes over the last three years at Riviera, including a career-best T8 last year.
Webb Simpson - World Ranking: #62
Simpson's only action at Riviera came with a T15 from 2010. He's made four starts this season, three finishes inside the top 30 and one missed cut.
Choi looks like a very safe option at Riviera with 12 consecutive starts and never missing a cut. Choi finished T24 at the site last year after recording three top-10s in a span of four years. He’s finished T9 and T36 in his last two stats of 2013.
