1. Tiger Woods

Tiger’s last major championship came back in the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. Woods also won the 2008 edition of this event, capping off a streak of four consecutive victories at Torrey Pines. However, Woods has only made one start at the site since. Tiger ended 2012 second ranked in scoring average, fourth in birdie average, fifth in total driving and 11th in All-Around Ranking.

2. Charles Howell III - World Ranking: #70

Among players with 10 or more starts in this event at Torrey Pines, Howell's average finish of 23.7 ranks second among all players in this week's field. He's never missed a cut here and owns a pair of runner-up performances and six finishes inside the top 15. This season he's finished T3 in the Sony Open and added a T2 last week in the Humana Challenge.

3. Bubba Watson - World Ranking: #40

Watson only made 19 starts last year, but collected three podium finishes and seven top-10s. Bubba won this event in 2011 and has finished inside the top 15 five times in seven starts at Torrey Pines. He recently finished T4 in the season opener and looks like a strong option again this week.

4. Brandt Snedeker - World Ranking: #32

Snedeker finished inside the top 10 at Torrey Pines in the 2008 U.S. Open and is also the defending champion of this event. In six career starts in the Farmers, he owns three podium finishes and a total of four top-10s. Snedeker is making his third start of the season, coming off a solo third in the season opener and a T23 last week.

5. Dustin Johnson - World Ranking: #1

After winning the Hyundai Tournament of Champions a case of the flu caused Johnson to withdraw the following week in the Sony Open. Over the last three years at Torrey Pines DJ has struggled in two appearances, but finished T3 in 2011. A year ago Johnson was fourth in driving distance, eighth in scoring average and 12th in All-Around Ranking.

6. Phil Mickelson - World Ranking: #24

Mickelson has proven to be very hot and cold at Torrey Pines over the years. He's won this event three times, most recently in 2001. Since 2005, Lefty owns a solo second from 2011, but has finished outside of the top 40 on four occasions. Last week Mickelson struggled in the opening round of the Humana Challenge, but played well in the final three rounds.

7. Hunter Mahan

Over the last four years at Torrey Pines, Mahan has finished 11th or better three times and T6 in two straight. He struggled in the season opener and now is making his second start of 2013. A year ago he ranked second in total driving, but just 48th in All-Around Ranking.

8. Keegan Bradley - World Ranking: #120

Bradley has been decent at Torrey Pines with T22 and T25 finishes the last two years, his lone career starts at the site. He was much better in the first half of 2012, but had two great finishes last August.

9. Bo Van Pelt

Van Pelt missed the cut in this event last year, which was his first start at Torrey Pines since 2008. He struggled in the season opener after ending 2012 with back-to-back top-10 finishes.

10. Rickie Fowler - World Ranking: #9

Fowler is making his fourth consecutive start at Torrey Pines, where he's never finished worse than 20th. He started 2013 on a strong note, a T6 in the season opener.

11. Scott Piercy - World Ranking: #63

Piercy has appeared at Torrey Pines two of the last three years with finishes of T13 and T20. He's been just as solid to open 2013 with finishes of T13 and T15.

12. John Rollins

When he made the cut last year, Rollins typically landed solid results. At Torrey Pines he has made three of the last four cuts with a solo second in 2009 and a solo third last year.
