Golf Rankings for The Barclays

1. Tiger Woods [Yahoo Class C]

The Barclays is coming to Bethpage, where Woods owns an impressive resume. He won the 2002 U.S. Open and then recorded a T6 when that event returned to the site in 2009. Tiger leads the Tour in scoring average, sits fourth in total driving and 10th in All-Around Ranking.

2. Rory McIlroy [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #3

After a slight bump in the road, McIlroy is back to cranking out top-fives. He finished T10 at Bethpage in the 2009 U.S. Open and is coming off an epic beat down of the field in the PGA Championship. On Tour, McIlroy is second in scoring average, third in birdie average and eighth in All-Around Ranking.

3. Graeme McDowell [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #92

Three of McDowell’s last four starts on Tour have been finishes of 11th or better, highlighted by a pair of top-fives in majors. He finished T18 at Bethpage in 2009. McDowell locked in and has really stepped his game up for the big tournaments.

4. Keegan Bradley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #120

After winning at Firestone, Bradley finished T3 in the PGA Championship and is heading to Bethpage on fire. He’s now second in birdie average, 10th in total driving and first in All-Around Ranking. While not always posting consistent results, Bradley is capable of going on impressive runs.

5. Steve Stricker [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #78

In two career starts at Bethpage, Stricker owns T16 and T23 finishes. This season he’s finished inside the top 25 in six straight starts with a pair of top-fives and three top-10s. Stricker is 10th in scoring average and 18th in All-Around Ranking.

6. Luke Donald [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #82

Donald played well during the final around of the PGA Championship, but finished T32. Prior to that he finished T5 in the British Open and T8 at Firestone. Donald finished T18 at Bethpage back in 2002.

7. Bubba Watson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #40

Since winning the Masters, Watson has finished inside the top 25 five of his last seven starts. He finished T18 at Bethpage in 2009 and is posting up impressive numbers this year. Watson ranks first in driving distance, second in greens in regulation percentage, sixth in birdie average, ninth in scoring average and fifth in All-Around Ranking.

8. Sergio Garcia [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #5

After missing the cut in the last two majors, Garcia won last week’s Wyndham Championship. The field this week gets a significant upgrade, but Sergio has played Bethpage very well in the past. He finished solo fourth in the 2002 U.S. Open and T10 in 2009.

9. Justin Rose [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #13

He’s coming off two straight top-fives, but Rose lacks a history at Bethpage. Rose is currently first in greens in regulation percentage, sixth in scoring average and fourth in All-Around Ranking.

10. Adam Scott [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #14

Over his last five starts, Scott has finished outside of the top 15 just once with a pair of top-fives. On Tour he ranks seventh in scoring average. Scott finished T36 at Bethpage in 2009.

11. Tim Clark [Yahoo Class C]

The comeback keeps rolling. Clark has improved in each of his last three starts, a T15 in the RBC Canadian Open, T11 in the PGA Championship and was the runner-up last week at Sedgefield. Clark finished T40 at Bethpage in 2009 but is playing extremely well right now.

12. Carl Pettersson [Yahoo Class C]

Pettersson has finished T3 and T4, respectively, in his last two starts. The Swede is clearly playing great golf right now and seeking his fifth top-five of the season. He finished T36 at Bethpage in 2009.
