Expert Picks for Arnold Palmer Invitational

13. Robert Allenby

Allenby has been around so long that it seems you can find at least one or two positive notes on almost any track we find on the schedule in his past. Still, Bay Hill is one spot you may want to consider Allenby if you put faith in past performance.

14. Scott Verplank

Verplank is the crafty vet we've come to trust at most of the stops along the PGA Tour journey each season, and at Bay Hill we are especially appreciative of his recent efforts. He was fighting for a top finish here last season and we expect he could repeat in 2011.

15. Boo Weekley

The first "sleeper" pick of the week, Weekley has been a regular on our fantasy rosters at Bay Hill for several years. He thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to play with one of the all-time greats and his appreciation shines through almost every season he hits it up.

16. Rickie Fowler - World Ranking: #9

Fowler is so strong that we tend to believe he can find a way to compete on any course that gives him the length to shine. Bay Hill is certainly long enough for the young gunner, but we wonder if he can make good on the approach to go low.

17. Kenny Perry

Not only is Perry a former winner on this track, but it is one course he has enjoyed on multiple runs of positive play on this track. We won't reach for his services too often this season but Perry looks like a positive option to consider in 2011.

18. Bo Van Pelt

Van Pelt showed well on this track last season, and last season appeared to be a leaping point from "good" to "great" for the long-time grinder. We have yet to see all we want from Van Pelt this season but he could put it together at this track he knows too well this week.

19. Camilo Villegas

Villegas is one of the most frustrating players we discuss every week. The lack of trust is earned, but so is the respect. This could be an outstanding track for skills, but they have yet to make positive music together. Still, he has the game to win on any course out there.

20. Sean O'Hair - World Ranking: #72

O'Hair has the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill trophy on his mantle, but we have yet to see the golfer capable of repeating on this set of links this season. He has left us wanting more, but history and potential make it difficult to imagine keeping O'Hair off the list of 20 for this week.

21. Charl Schwartzel - World Ranking: #19

Schwartzel has been a bit distressing this season with a new-found focus for success on the PGA Tour with mixed results found thus far. He clearly has the talent to be one of the best on the scene, but his best doesn't always follow his bag to the links.

22. Bubba Watson - World Ranking: #40

Watson let us down last week, yet he failed to repulse; now he gets another shot to put his best foot forward against the best in the land. He tends to shine in that light, but he has rarely found moment to shine at Bay Hill.

23. Martin Laird - World Ranking: #104

Laird was once again found in the top ten at the end of Sunday at last week, marking another notch in a continued run of play any fantasy owner could and should appreciate. He makes the list this week based on momentum alone.

24. Paul Goydos

Goydos has served as a consistent low-tier target for us at Bay Hill over recent seasons and he has often put forth the finishes we desire from such a commodity. He knows this track well and he has put that experience to good use so often that we will come back for more this week.
