Expert Picks for Deutsche Bank Championship

25. Ian Poulter [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #84

After missing the cut at the Wyndham Championship, Poulter’s T18 last week at The Barclays put him 78th in the FedExCup standings. He’ll need to get in the top 70 to play another week, so Poulter may come out aggressive. The Englishman has been one of the more successful golfers in the world over the last few years, but will need to show it this week to stay in the hunt.

26. Keegan Bradley [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #120

Following a historic win at the PGA Championship, Bradley fizzled last week at The Barclays by missing the cut. Not to worry, he followed his first victory in the same matter earlier in the season. Such erratic performances are to be expected from a 25-year-old rookie, well except for the part where he wins a major.

27. Fredrik Jacobson [Yahoo Class C]

Last year at TPC Boston, Jacobson posted a 65 in the opening round, but put up a 76 the next day and went on to finish T37. The Swede enters with a T32 at The Barclays and three finishes of 16th or better, including the first win of his Tour career prior to missing the cut at the PGA Championship. Jacobson is eighth in strokes gained – putting and 10th in scoring average.

28. Camilo Villegas [Yahoo Class C]

It has been a nightmarish season for Villegas, missing 12 cuts in 23 events. In his last two starts, the Colombian has registered back-to-back top-10s. While he’s struggled at TPC Boston in the last two years, Villegas finished T3 back in 2008 and T9 the year before. It would take a lot guts to roll the dice on Villegas this week, but he’s a player certainly capable of continuing this level of performance.

29. Brian Davis [Yahoo Class C]

In addition to four straight finishes of 21st or better, Davis is coming off a season-best finish of sixth at The Barclays. After opening with a round of 64 at TPC Boston last year, David slid to finish T22. Depending on the price, Davis should reward owners with another solid, if unspectacular, finish.

30. Mark Wilson [Yahoo Class C]

After winning two of his first three events of the season, Wilson tailed off a bit. He recorded just two other top-10 finishes since, but could be turning things around. Wilson has finished 26th or better in three straight starts and 30th or better in four of the last five. Aside from a T10 from 2005, Wilson hasn’t done much at TPC Boston but if the price is right, he’s worth a flyer.
