Expert Picks for World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational

25. Y.E. Yang [Yahoo Class C]

In his last three Firestone starts, Yang has finished T46 and T19. However, he’s had some impressive performances this season. In 11 Tour starts, Yang owns a runner-up performance at The Honda Classic, while finishing T3 in the U.S. Open and T16 in The Open Championship over his last two starts. He ranks 18th in strokes gained – putting, 21st in scoring average and 23rd in All-Around Ranking. Yang is always capable of a strong showing and is coming off two good ones in majors.

26. Padraig Harrington [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #163

Since 2005, Harrington has finished 27th or better in six straight starts at Firestone. Last year, he finished T9 after a share of second in 2009. Earlier this season, Harrington had three top-10s in a span of five starts, but hasn’t finished better than 45th in five straight with two missed cuts. Aside from sitting 19th in strokes gained – putting, Harrington doesn’t rank highly in any other statistic. His track record at this course is certainly good enough to earn him legitimate sleeper status, regardless of his erratic performances.

27. Sean O'Hair [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #72

After a season full of struggles, O'Hair came out of seemingly nowhere to win the RBC Canadian Open. That momentum now carries a lot of weight thanks to his fifth-place finish last year at Firestone. With nine missed cuts over his last 13 starts, O'Hair clearly carries a ton of risk, but could pay off big time if he’s truly turned his game around.

28. Fredrik Jacobson [Yahoo Class C]

Although Jacobson has not started in this event since 2008, he’s among the top sleepers in a fully loaded field. Following a T14 in the U.S. Open Championship, the Swede won the Travelers Championship and finished T16 in The Open Championship. Jacobson ranks ninth in scoring average and 10th in strokes gained – putting.

29. Miguel Jimenez

From 2008-09, Jimenez recorded top-10 finishes in each of his starts at Firestone. Last year, he entered the weekend with a share of seventh, but dropped to finish T22. In his last start at The Open Championship, Jimenez entered Sunday with a share of fifth, but finished T25. Assuming he avoids another late-round collapse, Jimenez could surprise while puffing away on one of his trademark cigars.

30. Stewart Cink [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #151

Since winning at Firestone back in 2004, Cink's highlights on this site include finishing as the runner-up in 2006, T6 in 2009 and T19 last year. Over his last eight starts this season, he’s picked up six finishes of 30th or better with one top-10. Cink ranks 28th in birdie average and is another potential sleeper thanks to prior success.
