Golf Rankings for TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola

1. Tiger Woods [Yahoo Class C]

Woods shook off a T65 at TPC Boston with a T11 last week at Conway Farms. After winning four of his first six stroke play events, Tiger slipped outside of the top 30 four of the next eight starts. The other results were all 11th or better, however, including one more victory. Since 2004 he’s played East Lake five times with a win from 2007 and three other runner-up performances.

2. Adam Scott [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #14

Scott won this event back in 2006 and has played East Lake each of the last three years, struggling aside from a T6 in 2011. After winning The Barclays he struggled at TPC Boston and placed T28 last week at Conway Farms. Scott is fourth on Tour in scoring average and seventh in All-Around Ranking.

3. Henrik Stenson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #7

Stenson’s only top-30 in the three postseason events held thus far was a victory at TPC Boston. He entered the playoffs on a tear with three podium finishes. Stenson is fifth in scoring average, second in total driving and 10th in All-Around Ranking.

4. Jim Furyk [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #79

Furyk has played East Lakes seven of the last eight years. During that time he won in 2010 and placed 13th or better each time out. He’s been particularly sharp as of late with five finishes inside the top 10 over his last half dozen appearances, highlighted by a T2 at the PGA Championship and last week’s solo third. Furyk ranks 15th in scoring average with superior accuracy to compensate for limited power.

5. Phil Mickelson [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #24

In addition to winning this event in 2009 Mickelson has finished T15 and solo 10th the last two years at East Lake. He started the postseason off with a T6 in The Barclays, but dropped to T41 and T33 the last two events. Lefty is good for 12th in scoring average and 18th in All-Around Ranking.

6. Luke Donald [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #82

Donald had been a disappointment for much of the summer until scoring a T4 last week at Conway Farms, his first top-five since way back in March. Donald has been excellent at East Lakes the last three years, though. He was the runner-up in 2010 and placed T-3 each of the last two years.

7. Zach Johnson [Yahoo Class C] - World Ranking: #69

Johnson’s recent hot streak took him to victory last week at Conway Farms. He’s made seven consecutive cuts with six results of eighth or better. Z.J. has played East Lake six times over the last nine years with an average finish of 11.8.

8. Jason Day [Yahoo Class A] - World Ranking: #4

Day has finished T25 or better in four straight starts and is coming off a T4 at Conway Farms. He finished T6 at East Lake in 2011 and missed out on a top 10 the year before. Day is currently ninth in scoring average and 13th in All-Around Ranking.

9. Justin Rose [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #13

Rose has backed up with a T16 and T33 in the last two events since he started the postseason with a share of second at The Barclays. He’s played East Lake each of the last three years capped by a solo second last year. Rose is third in scoring average, fourth in total driving and fifth in All-Around Ranking.

10. Brandt Snedeker [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #32

Snedeker is the defending champ of the FedExCup and East Lake. After an uneven summer, he’s suddenly back on track after placing inside the top 10 last week at Conway Farms. Despite some bumps in the road, Snedeker is 13th in scoring average and ninth in All-Around Ranking.

11. Hunter Mahan [Yahoo Class C]

Mahan is one of three players in this week’s field that has played East Lake each of the last six years. The last two seasons have seen him finish T8 and solo second at the site. During this year’s playoffs Mahan has improved each time out: T25, T13, T4.

12. Matt Kuchar [Yahoo Class B] - World Ranking: #15

Kuchar has been solid at East Lake each of the last two seasons, finishing a career-best T10 last year. Since August he’s finished inside the top 30 in all five starts, highlighted by a T4 at TPC Boston. Kuchar is currently seventh in scoring average and 17th in All-Around Ranking.
