Week 3: Super Sleepers

While we're not projecting starting type stats for these players, they have good potential and could surprise. This week's picks include Jay Cutler, Colt McCoy, Isaac Redman, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Early Doucet.

Floyd left Sunday's game against New England with a groin injury and did not return. At this point his status for this Sunday's game against the Chiefs is unknown. Should Floyd be able to play, he could be a good start this week. Over the first two weeks Floyd's performance has been pretty consistent. In week one Malcom had 3 receptions for 45 yards and last week he pulled in 2 receptions for 59 yards. Floyd has yet to find the end zone this season, but I think that is about to change this week. The Chiefs have allowed a league leading number of receiving touchdowns over the first two weeks. With the loss of Eric Berry, Kansas City's defense struggled last week against Detroit and it's likely we'll see them struggle this week against the Chargers. If you're looking for a receiver to fill in for an injury, Floyd could have a good game against a bad Chiefs secondary.

We are now two weeks into the 2011 season and Preston Parker is owned is less than 1% of fantasy leagues. I can understand why he wasn't drafted seeing as he is the Bucs' third receiver. However, now that we have seen two games it's time for fantasy owners to pay attention to Parker. In the Bucs' first two games, Preston has pulled in 10 receptions for 142 yards to lead the Bucs receiving corp. The second best receiver for the Bucs right now is Arrelious Benn, who has pulled in just 5 receptions for 52 yards this season. I think it's obvious Freeman's favorite target thus far has been Parker. You won't often find a team's leading receiver still on the free agent wire two weeks into the season. If you're looking for receiver help, Parker could be a nice grab this week.
