Week 6: Start 'Em
When the Giants realized that Plaxico Burress was never going to play for them again, they had to figure out how to fix their passing game. Instead of going out and trading for a big name receiver, the Giants decided to fix the issue in house and let their group of young receivers (none over the age of 25) do the job. So far Steve Smith has proven to be a stud receiver, and Mario Manningham has had flashes of brilliance but has been inconsistent with dropping balls. Nicks dealt with some injuries in pre-season, then was injured in game 1 and missed the next 2 games. Since his return, he has scored a touchdown in each game and was the most targeted Giants receiver last week (6 targets). The Giants love his size and hands and will continue to look for him. He should be starting in your line-ups from here on in.
Tight end is one of the weaker fantasy positions with not as many options available to owners, making finding a possible starter not always so easy. The Packers have had high hopes for Jermichael Finley and have been trying to make him more of a focal point of the offense. That finally happened before the bye week vs. the Vikings, when Finley went off with 6 catches for 128 yards and 1 touchdown. Look for Green Bay to build off that game and try and keep making Finley a big part of the offense. If you need a bye week fill in for your tight end, Finley should be given a shot this week as he faces the Detroit Lions.
