Week 17 Secret Stars + Our Week 17 Contest

Our value sleepers at Draftkings to help you win in Week 17

The Week 17 contest is our last regular season contest of the year. The top seven finishers this week each win an entry (valued at $200) into the $400,000 January Jam contest, which will take place in the Divisional round Week 18. Big money is still at stake here at FFToolbox!

Let's win our way in and take a look at this week's Secret Stars…

QB – DAL – Kyle Orton – vs PHI - $5,000 – Orton represents the no brainer QB play of the week if Tony Romo does indeed sit this one out. I imagine that Orton will be the most popular DraftKings player this week against the pass friendly secondary of the Eagles at the league minimum price of $5,000. Orton hasn't started since January 1 of 2012, and is now being asked to go out and win a do or die game in front of the Cowboy faithful. With Demarco Murray, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten at his disposal, the only guy that can screw this one up is Jason Garrett.

Also consider: NYG - Eli Manning vs WAS - $5,200 – 200 yards and one TD last week against the Lions and his price is now $5,200 against one of the league's worst secondaries. Washington has allowed an average of at least two QB touchdowns over the last nine games, so expect a strong finish to Manning's awful 2013 season even. Imagine the possibilities with the rest of your lineup if you use Manning / Jernigan.

Also consider: GB - Aaron Rodgers @ CHI $7,600 - If he's back, how can you not put him in at this price? A somewhat tough matchup as the Bears have only allowed multiple TDs in three of their last six games, but he's Aaron Rodgers. This is too cheap.

RB – KC - Knile Davis @ SD - $3,000 – So the Chiefs have announced they're taking the week off and only playing the starters a series or two. That spells good news for Charles' handcuff rookie, Knile Davis, at the bargain basement price of $3,000. Running backs who see a big workload are hard to pass up at this price, so I'll take a shot on this kid against the Chargers' middle of the pack run defense that has allowed a touchdown in six straight games and over 100 total yards to backs in five of the last six.

WR – GB – Jarrett Boykin @ CHI - $3,400 – Boykin grabbed five of his 13 targets this past week and was on the field for 90% of the team's offensive snaps. That's very impressive stats for this young kid coming in to help fill the void left by Randall Cobb (who should be back but on a limited snap count). Rodgers is back, making this play even more intriguing. Pair your WR with your QB and take a shot with Boykin against the Bears this week who are pretty tough against #1 WRs (top 10), but less than average against #2s (22nd) and middle of the pack against #3 (16) wide receivers.

Also consider – TEN – Kendall Wright vs HOU - $5,700 – Wright is still undervalued at $5,700. Yes he had a bad game against Jacksonville, but look for Fitzpatrick to close out in front of the home fans strong and throwing to his favorite wideout against the 24th easiest matchup for #1 WRs who will be without their best corner man Jonathan Joseph.

TE –HOU - Ryan Griffin @ TEN - $3,000 – Here's a kid that gets no respect on DraftKings. He's playing 100% of the snaps and he's getting good work. 12 points in each of the last two weeks, with six receptions per game, he's just missing that touchdown opportunity. This might be it. Tight ends have scored in three straight games against the Titans.

Also consider - ATL - Tony Gonzalez vs CAR - $5,300 – A sentimental pick for me. His last career game, at home against a tough defense. Go out with a big game Tony Go!

PK – Any cheap $3,000 kicker will do, although give SEA Hauschka a look at $3,400 if you're not using Lynch.

DST – Vikings $2,200 - For some reason, I think the Vikings are just going to roll the hapless Lions. The coaching staff likely has one foot out the door already and this team lost all their momentum with the loss last weekend. Now I know the secondary can't stop anybody, but this is one of those gut check specials. I smell a defensive Touchdown in this one.

That's it for the regular season gang! Play our Week 17 Contest and you can win a shot at $400,000 in prizes in Week 18.

I'll have three teams in it, and so should you.

Good luck!
