Week 17: Sleepers

While we're not projecting starting type stats for these players, they have good potential and could surprise. This week's picks include Profiled players include Jay Cutler, Kyle Orton, Edwin Baker, Joique Bell, and Michael Crabtree.

One rookie receiver who continues to fly under the radar is Woods. He made a bone-headed play last week where he threw a punch at a Dolphins player. That's obviously inexcusable, but if we can give Steve Smith a free pass for it; we can do the same for Woods this one time. Woods was off to a hot start last week, catching three passes for 70 yards and in Week 15, he caught five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Young players always seem to blow up late in the season and that could be the case for Woods, who should be considered a decent WR3/flex play in Week 17 against the Pats. New England has allowed 12 WR TDs in their last 10 games.

Fantasy owners scrambled to snag Ryan Griffin last week due to an injured Garrett Graham. Griffin is the only healthy TE left for Houston and he has looked pretty good in his last two games. Over that span, he has 11 receptions for 128 yards. Nothing to write home about, but enough to merit consideration as a sleeper. He will face a favorable matchup against Tennessee in Week 17 as their defense has allowed one TE TD in each of their last three contests. Griffin is a low-end TE1 this week.
