Week 6: IDP Studs and Sleepers

We take a look at Week 6 IDP action, from the starters and those free agents worthy of starting or stashing

Here we are in Week 6 with another batch of waiver wire possibilities with rest of season potential, weekly must-start studs and one-hit wonders who can help you more than you might expect for your Week 5 needs.

The following players are my own personal choice to have an excellent game. Call it clairvoyance, but it's more like matchup and situational awareness. I will try to pick a player who isn't rostered in most leagues, so you can find someone who would otherwise be on your bench or waiver wire without my recommendation. I'll try to hold myself accountable by noting how the previous week's suggestion performed. Defensive statistics, on a per-game basis, are heavily dependent on individual matchups and can be even more "predictable" than offensive stats.

Last week's pick: Ahtyba Rubin, Cleveland Browns – 5 total tackles, 3 assists (hit)
Domata Peko, Cincinnati Bengals: Peko will have his shot against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6, and they've allowed at least 20 fantasy points to defensive linemen per game this season. There should be a ton of tackle opportunities up the middle since DL have racked up well over 20 combined tackles per game.

Last week's pick: Chris Long, St. Louis Rams – 5 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL, 1 FF (hit)
Derek Wolfe, Denver Broncos: Jacksonville has given up 10.5 sacks to defensive linemen over five games.

Last week's pick: Pat Angerer, Indianapolis Colts – 1 assist (miss)
Moise Fokou, Tennessee Titans: The Seahawks power-run game has allowed LBs to rack up huge stats. LBs have 61 combined tackles, 1 INT, 8.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles against Seattle. Fokou is at the center of it all for Tennessee's defense at middle linebacker.

Last week's pick: Rashean Mathis, Detroit Lions – 6 total tackles (hit)
Cortland Finnegan, St. Louis Rams: Finnegan isn't having a great year, but that can also translate to fantasy points via tackling opportunities. Houston is allowing the most fantasy points to cornerbacks in a big way.

Last week's pick: Eric Reid, San Francisco 49ers – 8 total tackles, 1 PD (hit)
Chris Conte, Chicago Bears: New York's incompetent run game is forcing a ton of passes and more risk-taking by Eli Manning. Look for Conte to eat it up by the spoonful here.

These players have to be in your lineup every week, regardless of opponent! These lists are in no particular order. Each player is listed by position, which assumes you must start a player at that position.
