Week 3: Game Time Decisions - Injury Update

We let you know the playing chances of the big name players who are injured. This week's picks include Reggie Bush, Maurice Jones-Drew, Rashard Mendenhall, Ray Rice, and Larry Fitzgerald.

Now entering his 11th NFL season, AJ is showing no signs of slowing down as he leads the league in targets through two weeks. He suffered a concussion in week 2, but has been cleared and returned to practice on Thursday giving all indications that he'll be in uniform in week 3 barring a setback. Rookie Deandre Hopkins had a breakout performance in week 2 (including the game winning TD in overtime) and should continue to flirt with WR3 despite the Texans' run heavy offense (he'd be a must start if Johnson is ruled out). This week the Texans face a Ravens defense allowing the sixth most fantasy points to opposing WRs. Baltimore's secondary is stronger than the stats suggest as their numbers are a bit skewed by Peyton's seven touchdown week 1 performance.

Following offseason back and multiple arms surgeries, the Gronk missed the first two games of the season but appears to have a chance of making his debut against Tampa in week 3. He's shaping up as a game time decision with the more likely scenario being a week 4 debut in Atlanta. Tom Brady owners are hoping Gronk suits up as the Pats quarterback has been one of the bigger fantasy disappointments through two weeks (just three touchdown passes and one interception). Gronk missed five games last season, but had been a red zone monster during his first three season totaling 38 touchdowns. Zach Sudfeld is practicing in full after suffering a hamstring injury, but the preseason darling has yet to catch a pass in the regular season and would be a true desperation play even if Gronk is sidelined for another week. On a positive note for the Pats tight ends, the Bucs defense is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing TEs (19 fantasy PPG) after they were shredded by Jimmy Graham in week 2.
