Week 2: Super Sleepers

While we're not projecting starting type stats for these players, they have good potential and could surprise. This week's picks include E.J. Manuel, Joique Bell, Marlon Brown, Julian Edelman, and Brian Hartline.

My Terrance Williams pick this week is deep, but deserved. With Dez Bryant's foot sprain and Romo's tendency to spread the ball around, I think Williams is a great super sleeper pick. Williams only grabbed two receptions for 32 yards in Week1, but was targeted four times and hauled in a 23 yard reception late in the game. Williams is a guy who should be on the fantasy radar, but is not in most traditional ten or twelve team leagues. If you play in deeper leagues where wideouts have been snatched up, Williams might be an interesting gamble for a plug-n-play. I like him this week vs. Kansas City and think Dez Bryant might hurt his fantasy owners by attempting to play on his injured foot. Williams could be a steal this week.

Sudfeld might have been one of the biggest disappointments in Week 1. Many fantasy owners were expecting him to have a breakout first game as the most likely to succeed TE on the New England roster given all of the circumstances – those being Aaron Hernandez' unfortunate legal issues and Rob Gronkowski's back injury. However, he failed to produce and played only 19 of 94 offensive snaps. Sudfeld did injury his hamstring in Week 1, but it looks like he will play this week. Keep an eye on his status. I think he is going to jump right back into the mix this week and be back on fantasy owners' radar. New York can be an imposing defense, but you have to consider the fact that Sudfeld plays for one of the most explosive offensive units in football. He will no doubt be knocked down the rankings this week, but I would bet that he performs well if he plays and climbs right back up the rankings after this week.
