Week 1: Sit 'Em

These usually solid players are not worth starting this week due to match-up, injury, or other circumstances This week's picks include Andy Dalton, Robert Griffin III, Montee Ball, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Ryan Mathews.

The physical receiver has been getting rave reviews from his coaches throughout the preseason. Of course, Smith didn't face Richard Sherman and the rest of the Seahawks defense. That changes in Week 1. Seattle ranked sixth against the pass in 2012 and held Smith to 40 yards on four receptions last season. Though usually a solid WR2 option, Smith's value drops in PPR formats even without such a challenging opponent. If you start two wide receivers or have another good option to use as a Flex play this week, Smith is bench material.

The ex-Steeler faces a familiar foe as Miami travels to Cleveland. Wallace was the Dolphins big free agent signing this off-season, lacked chemistry with quarterback Ryan Tannehill throughout the preseason. Expect the pair to work that out as the weeks go on, but Wallace could get off to a slow start with his new team. Having Browns corner Joe Haden covering him won't help. The Dolphins are counting on the deep threat to open up the passing game. For now, that could mean more targets for Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson. Until Wallace and Tannehill prove that they are on the same page, I would not count on Wallace as anything more than a WR3 in fantasy leagues.
