Week 12: Sleepers of the Week

These lesser-known players deserve to start this week due to matchup or other circumstances. This week's picks include Matt Leinart, Carson Palmer, Mark Sanchez, Toby Gerhart, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Denarius Moore and the Oakland Raiders return home to take on the Chicago Bears in week 12. Moore is coming off a terrible game in which he caught just one pass for 14 yards as he was unable to build upon his five catch, 123 yard, two touchdown performance from week ten. Moore will be a gamble on a week to week basis, but with Jacoby Ford and Darrius Heyward-Bey banged up, and the Raiders likely to throw the ball more this week than last, Moore should have a bounce back game. The Bears' pass defense has struggled, giving up 270 yards per game so far this season. If you are looking for a high risk, high reward play at receiver this week, Moore will be a good choice, and should be able to catch five passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Sidney Rice and the Seattle Seahawks return home to take on the Washington Redskins in week 12. Rice has been another hit or miss wide receiver this season, having a few good games, and a few poor ones. Rice has caught only eight passes over the past three weeks, but did catch a touchdown in a week 11 win over the Rams. Despite not having a great last few games, Rice is still the Seahawks' number one target in the passing game, and should be a good WR 3 play in fantasy leagues this week. Fantasy owners can expect 75 receiving yards and a touchdown from Rice against the Redskins' tenth ranked pass defense.
